Policy Statement on Intellectual Property, Disclosure, and Material Use
Effective [ Updated May, 2023]
PixelFix Films, LLC is committed to protecting the integrity, originality, and commercial value of all content, designs, films, and intellectual property (IP) created, commissioned, or distributed under its name. This policy outlines expectations and restrictions concerning the use, disclosure, and replication of company materials.
1. Intellectual Property Rights
All creative works—including but not limited to designs, scripts, motion graphics, films, digital assets, and branding—produced by or for any Client are the exclusive intellectual property of the company or its licensed partners. Unauthorized use, reproduction, adaptation, distribution, or public display of these materials is strictly prohibited.
2. Non-Disclosure and Confidentiality
Employees, contractors, collaborators, and clients must maintain the confidentiality of all proprietary or pre-release content unless otherwise authorized in writing. Disclosure of such material—intentionally or through negligence—constitutes a breach of contract and may result in legal action and/or termination of engagement.
3. Prohibition of Bad Faith Use
Use of company content in bad faith—including actions intended to deceive, mislead, misrepresent, or compete unfairly—is grounds for immediate legal recourse. This includes, but is not limited to, tampering with metadata, impersonating official representations, or claiming authorship of work not originally created by the user.
4. Improper Use of Materials
Company materials are to be used strictly within the context and purpose for which they were designed. Repurposing materials beyond their intended scope, without explicit authorization, is a violation of this policy. Examples include but are not limited to: inserting film assets into unrelated projects, reverse engineering proprietary software, or stripping visual elements for third-party use.
5. Replication for Personal Gain
Attempting to replicate, mimic, or derive company materials—either manually or through technological means such as AI training, duplication, or style transfer—for personal or commercial gain is strictly forbidden. This includes derivative works that infringe upon the recognizable style, structure, or conceptual foundation of Client’s IP.
6. Enforcement and Consequences
Violations of this policy will result in disciplinary action, up to and including contract termination, financial restitution, and legal proceedings. PixelFix Films, LLC reserves the right to audit the use and distribution of its materials at any time.
